Four shows down and off to the warm coast of southern France. The show in Kassel, in central Germany was great. Hannes and the Skaphonics crew made us all feel right at home. After a great show there, we headed on up to Copenhagen, Denmark. After much swearing at and threatening of our GPS system, we met up with our new horn players, Christian and Johann from the mighty Babylove and The VanDangos. We had a great show in in a part of Copenhagen called Christiana that sits within the borders of the city, yet functions as an autonomous commune. Very cool and different. Then we headed back to Germany to play a show in Dresden. The club was packed and our new horn section burned the paint off the walls. Our drummer, Simon, treated the locals to a lesson in foosball (called "Kicker" in Europe), as well as in the arts of trash-talking. We then got to visit the beautiful Swiss city of Zurich, and see some of the Alps. Last night we played on a boat in the French city of Lyon to a wild and enthusiastic audience. We are sounding really good, and the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. All of our hosts and new acquaintances have been really fantastic, despite our Texanism. We are on our way to a two-day stint in Marseilles, France.
Our time to get on the internet and the phone have been pretty limited so far due to long drives, but we hope to be able to post some of the footage we have taken of our shows soon.
We are having a wonderful time so far, and are really appreciative to all of the folks that supported us at home and in Europe, and hope that you all have wonderful holidays.
