Guys are so hard to buy gifts for!  Well, here's something for any guy on your list!  And it will help them get into better shape, too.  A double gift.  And one you can appreciate in a few weeks.

Anyway, this book was written by a friend of mine and his friend.  I love the pictures in this book.  For once someone has written a REALISTIC book with realistic photos.  The guy doing most of the poses is a bit older, a bit heavy, doesn't do the poses perfectly.  In other words, just like most of the guys we know!  He is not some perfect, super model doing seemingly impossible things with his body.  Makes a guy think he can do this stuff, too!

Yoga And The 21st Century Man: Fitting Yoga Into a Busy Mans Life, Volume I

By Roger L. Null & Dan Erdman

Synopsis

This new book, co-authored by Roger Null, a Yoga Instructor for 30+ years, and one of his students, Dan Erdman.  With their varied life experiences, Roger & Dan understand the need to find ways to make Yoga a part of one's busy life and address particular health issues, rather than requiring a daily 30+ minute routine.  To this end, they include chapters specifically about stress reduction, incorporating Yoga into one's day, poses for particular aches, pains, and other common ailments, and Yoga on the golf course, as well as detailed chapters on building strength, flexibility, focus and balance.  The purpose is to help men develop and/or maintain a high quality of health in an active lifestyle.

The book is concise in it's instruction and big on pictures, (100+) showing how to do simple Yoga poses that build strength, flexibility, balance, focus, and effective stress coping techniques.  You won't find pictures of pretzel-like, "Yoga models" in this book, just Roger, a 73 year old, former truck driver and avid golfer, Dan, and several of their students.  Just like the readers, Roger and Dan don't do poses perfectly, so they've included graphic pointers in the pictures to indicate the goal of each pose.  The chapter on incorporating Yoga into one's day includes pictures of guys at work and play, finding snippets of time for Yoga.  The conversational style is meant to mimic a Yoga class in the reader's home.

This book is a lesson in lifestyle change, one that men who have studied under Roger have eagerly embraced, from all ages and walks of life.

Yoga And The 21st Century Man: Fitting Yoga Into a Busy Mans Life, Volume I teaches men how to attain:
