Hey there

Just thought we'd let you know

We're heading into the authentic appalacian mountain district of old Birmingham to record songs in the view of releasing an EP of original material by the Mellow Peaches

We're going to have a ramshackley raucous time, and hope it sounds that way too!

We can't wait to show y'all the results (after we've recorded the results that is...)

Does anyone have some beards we could borrow?

Thank you

Cool - an EP from one of my fave blues-twosomes! Let me know Peachie boys when that cotton-pickin' see-dee is ready please?

If you want beards, why not pop along to your local folk club cus that's where you'll find beards a-plenty on the fella's (and some of the women too!) You see I have this theory that to play folk music you have to grow a beard - it's true I tell you, it's true!

Okay apart from a few very famous folkies (who can now afford to buy Philishave electric razors), most folk muso's sport face fungus. And if you haven't got a fuzzy face when you call in at folk clubs, you can always hire a stick-on beard (or hairy chest - or both) from the doorman so you don't feel naked and left-out.
So ther is the solution; go folk and borrow a beard!

Good luck with the recording!

Keep the faith,

The Abbot

Thanks Abbot! I agree, I think beards command respect. Though I'm trying to go against the establishment and have massive sideburns instead. And my sideburns are proper massive. I reckon they'll garner respect.
Especially at the folk clubs where they've just seen to many chin based hair pieces, the sideburn will be a welcome change, a breath of fresh (h)air!

But still....a beard would be nice

Cheers Abbot, I'll let you know when the ol' sound disk is done and ready for a listenin
