Progressive Metal band Empyrean is seeking a bass player willing to learn back catalog songs and continue writing process on new material. We have and regularly do open for touring national acts, and are currently releasing and touring to support our forthcoming disc.

We are seeking an experienced bass player, preferably familiar with multiple genres of music, and bass techniques (read hammer ons, bass chordings, odd rhythm, etc). Professional attitude a must.

We typically rehearse 2-3 times a week and play 8-10 shows a month. Ability to travel, functional professional equipment, and ability to free up schedule for the important dates required. Some financial contribution will be asked of the band collectively from time to time to cover expenses not paid for by gigs alone.

We are very serious about making the best music we can, and taking it to the next level. That said, we love to have fun and create, but it's a lot more fun if everyone is sharing the work up front.

We also prefer applicants be free from use of illegal drugs.
