It feels like forever since I wrote on this blog and need to speak about the excitement that I have going into the fall.

If you have not seen the show at Cafe Mocha this month:  Distortion:  The Works of Peter Ehlinger you're in for a definite treat.  His asian inspired work is simply amazing and a great follow up to Lauren Acton, Genevive LeVo and Gretchen Diehl.

First news which I am tremendously excited about is getting the rights to do The Rocky Horror Show this October!   Distortion in conjunction with The Barnstormers in Ridley Park will present what will be an off-the-hook theater show version of Rocky Horror.

Please come out and audition casting breakdown is as follows:

Performances are 10/17-18, 10/24-25 and 10/31 and 11/1 with a special Midnight Performance on Halloween. If you cannot do the Midnight performance please let us know.

In September, we open the month with Distortion:  The Work of Sharon Daws on 9/5.  Her images are thoughtful, imaginitive and full of strong heroic women and images.  We have paired with AQS Visual Management and Cafe Mocha for two full days of art, music, food and fun on 9/6.  You should come out.

On 9/19 we will be presenting Roots at the Goggleworks in Reading Pa.  Featuring the combined talents of Distortion Arts Project, Goggleworks  Art Complex and the Berks Arts Council we answer the question "Can You Come Back Home?"  Featuring food, beverages and entertainment by Reading Civic Theatre, Reading Community Players and Genesius Theater this is something NOT to miss.

I'd like to also introduce my new assistant and Sponsorship Chair Benjamin Beeler.

Thanks for reading and keep Distorted!
