HolidayFest, Downtown’s annual holiday extravaganza, kicks off the night before Thanksgiving, on Wednesday, November 25th. Festivities begin with lighting ceremonies making the first night of HolidayFest the “Night of Lights.”
Tents offering free hot cocoa and cookies line the route of the official lighting ceremony, which begins with the arrival of Santa Clause:
6:15 pm Annual Lighting of Santa and His Reindeer on the National City Bank (corner of Calhoun and Main)
6:45 pm Lighting of the new Wells Fargo Holiday Display (corner of Calhoun and Wayne)
7:00 pm Lighting of the I & M "Merry Christmas" Wreath on the Chase Bank Building, which is also known as One Summit Square (corner of Wayne and Calhoun)
7:15 pm Harrison Street Windows on Embassy Theatre (corner of Harrison and Jefferson Blvd., across from Grand Wayne Center)
