Here's the COMPLETE list of movies and events at the Fifth Annual SLASH AND BASH Horror/Sci-fi Film Festival in Topeka, KS. The cost is $5 per day, or $10 for all weekend. Adrienne Barbeau will be present all weekend, signing autographs, answering questions and intoducing her movies! Please come out and join us!
Friday: * Gate opens at 5:30 p.m at the Topeka Holidome, movies start at 7 p.m. with Ty Jones conduction a Q&A before his film LAST BREATH * Meet Adrienne Barbeau before she introduces her 1981 classic ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK at 9 p.m. * PHANTASAM 11 p.m.
Saturday: * Slash and Bash vendor booths open 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday. Vendors include: Gameworld, Monster Energy Drink, the Capital City Crushers (Topeka's roller derby team), Sprint, Kansas Film Commission, Ruby (Topeka's premier psychic medium) and much more! * Watch Alfred Hitchcock's VERTIGO at 11 a.m. * Madden 2010 Game Tournament sponsored by Gameworld, time TBA, free with $5 day pass (includes 7 movies) or $10 three-day pass (full festival privileges) * THE HUNTER at 1 p.m. with Q&A by director Jake Jackson and Cast * THE SALLE HOUSE at 3 p.m. with Q&A by director Ian Trimble * Autograph signing session with Adrienne Barbeau * MRS. BRUMLETTS GARDEN and DO NOT DISTURB, two short horror films from local (soon to be big name) film maker Patrick Rea at 5 p.m. * Adrienne Barbeau Q& Abefore screening of the classic SWAMP THING * Special Kansas ghost hunters demonstration sponsored by Kansas Ghost Tours * Special 11 p.m. screening of ARMY OF DARKNESS at 11 p.m.
Sunday: * Slash and Bash opens at 11 a.m. * Slash and Bash vendor booths open 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. * GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS at 12 p.m. * Adrienne Barbeau Q&A before screening of CREEPSHOW at 2 p.m. * Slash and Bash closes with a special showing of the documentary, FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION: THE OTERO FAMILY MURDERS by filmmaker Marc Levitz at 5 p.m. Q&A with survivor Charlie Otero, whose family was murdered by the Wichita's BTK serial killer.
