What makes the people come to Saint-Cezaire ?
How does it happen that New-Yorkers, jazz-amateurs, practicing art of singing, saxophones, guitar, percussions or piano cross the Atlantic ? Is it the exceptional ambiance you find in this little village of South-France, deep in the “Provence Cote d’Azur”county or the high level of the Jazz Master-Class ? Actually, you are given a warm welcome as soon as you arrive by the Organisation in a giant “Soupe au Pistou” on the Place of the Village, the nevralgic center, animated by a traditional “bal musette with the accordeon”. Participants catch in a glimpse where they will perform at the end of the week on the same stage. Nearly 700 people attend this concert : The students take an advantage of the mediterranean climax, with a very nice weather this summer 2009, with warm nights and little wind, which is the best weather for outdoor events and let the Public the opportunity to sit peacefully and listen to the great standards of Ellington or Porter, move on the salsa rythmn, or samba or bossa-nova like “Samba de Veloso” .
