There's this guy.
Whom only appears in my dreams.
He's my perfect knight in shining armor.
His eyes glitter as he declares love to me.
Roses. Bright red roses cover my arms.
My smile grows. I cannot believe this happiness.
Our love has taken and passed vicious tests.
No matter who or what tried to stop us
We prevailed. His smile is pure. His eyes
Stare into my soul and find my weakness.
I feel so fragile in his arms… as if any little
Thing will break me… yet strong knowing that
We will be together until the end of time…
As our life together forms the most powerful
Of ties. My eyes flutter open and I realize
My knight it gone... Bitter, I force my
Sleep hoping to dream of my knight.
Unable to attain peace, I jolt from my bed
Into the kitchen, the life I live is worthless.
Alone in my apartment with no one but me…
I take the bottle of sleeping pills and empty
It into my mouth… tears fall down my cheeks
As I crawl back into bed. Awaiting my knight.
Darkness, as my eyes close... I realize…
