Mens Bout write up from www.pioneervalleyrollerderby.com

PVRD: Dirty Dozen - 87

Diamond City Death Kings - 50

Diamond City Death Kings' Barry Yerdead put the first points on the board during the opening jam, outscoring Davy Jones 6-4. But Dirty Dozen's fresh blood, Jurasskick Park avenged Jones with a 17-4 jam over Body Count. PVRD's Dirty Dozen would hang onto this lead for the rest of the bout.

The Dirty Dozen's other jammers: Dr. Spankenstein, The Rev and Bazooka Joe helped put up an additional 27 points before the half. DCDK's Gym Class Hero, Barry Yerdead and Body Count fought against the Dozen's tight defense but were only able to add another 9 points, ending the half with a score of Dirty Dozen 48, Death Kings 19.

Halftime allowed the Death Kings to regroup and reflect on how to beat the Dirty Dozen. Again the Death Kings started strong with Gym Class Hero putting up 8 points to Dr. Spankenstein's 4. Body Count led an assault with the help of DCDK's blockers - The Shocker, Nick Necro, JJ Sandford, Big Daddy and SXE Revenge to level Dirty Dozen's jammers. The Dirty Dozen's blockers, The Rev, Rollin Redshirt, Crash Daily, and Calico Jack Wreckem successfully countered the attack by forcing penalties on the Death Kings' blockers and jammers.

Both teams skated with short benches. Dirty Dozen brought 8 players, and the Death Kings brought 9. This bout was a testament to endurance and will. The Death Kings fought hard for their first full 40 minute bout and PVRD is looking forward to skating with them again soon.

These Guys were awesome to skate with and we cant wait to skate with them in july !!!! Thanks Guys!

Sounds like it was a tough game. Less than 14 is really tough. Good Luck in July.

Great job, guys, it was great to rough it up a bit on the track with y'all. You certainly brought some heavy hits up to our neck of the woods!
