Hello.....
I'm contacting you because I have just returned home from my second deployment with the army and have now been discharged due to my conflicting beliefs with the army. On Dec. 18th 2006 I took my uniform off and refused to wear the uniform or partake in war in any form. I was put into solitary confinement, then released, put under 24 hour guard for two months during which ime I was given 2 article 15's and charged with a court martial. Days before the court martial I was put out of the army under a chapter 10. My conscientious objector packet is still being processed. But I wated to let you and others know that there are others who believe in nonviolence...not just myself, but others who are stil there, but have yet found the strenght to act on their beliefs. At my CO hearing I refused military council stating that Truth was all I needed in my defense; and Truth held firm as the CO investiator ruled in my favor stating that it was obvious that these were my beliefs and that I should be separated from the army.
I have not made these things public until today because I thought making them public during the process might contaminate the process of Truth.
I think it is extremely imporant that others know that they are not alone and that it is an extremely important way of life if we are to survive as compassionate beings.
You have my permission to use my story in any way to help others, and if I can be of any assistance to anyone I would be more than eager to help.
better email to reach me at is noone_really_knows@yahoo.com
Sincerely,
May you rest in goodness always
