I've always thought of the human life-span as being quite short in the grand scheme of things. After my dad died of cancer at 44 (and after I finished tripping out) I began to take notice of my life and how much little time is left even though I'm young. At the same time, I was inspired to take in more of my surroundings. Somewhere in all of that I wrote "We Die Young". Although the ultimate idea in the lyrics is somewhat dismal, it is at the same time glorifying what we do have, if not almost a celebration of what we are inspired to do with what we have.

Today, I re-recorded "We Die Young". I feel a lot better about how it's coming across. Stop by and check it out.

Also, I'm getting good reviews on my instrumental "Stomping Grounds", a Zeppelin-ish bluesy kind of rant.
