Tonight's Anti-Karaoke was without a doubt the most exciting AK in Apolo to date. However, what happened after the show was as unpleasant a surprise for us as it was for the audience.
As you already know, the Anti-Karaoke audience can always stay in the Apolo after the show is over and enjoy the Nasty Mondays D.J. sessions until 5 am. Tonight, however, this is not what happened. Those in charge of the club informed us in the very moment we were ending the show that the audience would have to leave.
It appeared that there were disturbances in the street caused by people in line who were trying to enter the club by force. Apparently, this was the motive for the decision to empty the club.
Today (Tuesday April 7th) we will meet with the directors of Apolo to discuss what happened. We hope this situation won't recur, and that at future shows, the Anti-Karaoke public can stay in the club until 5 AM as before. We will keep you informed.
