I don't know how to begin saying this.
Good things don't last forever.
Real life has smacked us in the face over the last few months. We had aspirations of full time gig-li-hood this summer: traveling, touring, rocking and sharing our music with people... If you know us, you know our situation in life and we don't have the $$ to do it live and gig. Our van had to undergo expensive repairs and it's still not completly fixed... Alex is pursuing his degree in English at GVSU next year and if you know my brother he is an amazing writer and just a bad ass with words (and here I am writing the blog like a twat hahahaha) and me, well...since I don't have a drummer, I don't have a band---and well, I refuse to carry on the Ephus name without Alex.
So, here's the bottom line. We can't do this anymore. (at least not where we want to be) We're doing all the shows we have booked, we can't play Carnival of Chaos just for the fact we don't fucking know anybody around here and we can't afford to play it. (and other obligations have come up that weekend) But, come to a show...we have only a couple left.
We will never die. Ephus is and always will be Addison and Alex Eilers and we will play together until we die. Fact. We will pop up time to time to rock a gig, cause we love playing live!!!!
Soooo
To all of you that have seen us, enjoyed us, hated us, followed us, booked us, spent money on our music, merch, Coors Light, tickets, etc.
We would be nothing without you and we love you all.
