Download it here.It caught me off guard being back-announced as a 'hip hop group.' I guess I've been engrossed in this new album, and made up my mind that people would no longer consider us a hip hop group after it comes out. (Which will be in early 09).
So I had this little mental ping pong just now while washing the dishes... Gift of Gab once said "Y'all are hip hop, but you're not... but you're more than hip hop, y'all are a new kind of music that has hip hop in it..." I think Okayplayer said something similar about our last record on Quannum: "This is hip hop, but it isn't." Q-Tip recently said Justin Timberlake's FutureSex LoveSounds was a hip hop record that was carefully crafted for the pop world... I mean sure we can get all philosophical and say "What is hip hop anymore..." But still I know it when I hear it. At least I know I love the shit out of some MF DOOM and when Will Smith comes on the radio I change the channel...
