I'll be playin' a support slot to Dumpy's Rusty Nuts this comin' Friday. Dumpy an' me go back a good few years to when I was in IronHeart back in the 80's.
He was gracious enough to have us as a support band for DRN at the Marquee, when it was still in Wardour St. We'd done a couple of other supports for him in Reading so he took us to London. Cheers for that mate.
In the early 00's I met up with him at the Celtic Warriors Birthday Bash where he was playin' an' comperin'. If you have a look at the videos on my page he's the guy that introduces me on the Copperhead Road / 500 Miles vid.
We've done a few gigs together since I've been doin' the solo thing, an' we've had a some good laughs along the way. So here's your chance to catch two stalwarts of the biker music scene here in the UK - one who has a long pedigree, longer than I've been ridin' bikes myself. An' then there's me - relativly new kid on the block by comparison, but seasoned enough with eight years solo work (in amongst 30 years of live work) under my belt to know that you're gonna get a damn good show.
If you can make it along on Friday bring a party mood with you, grab yourself a few beers an' have a bloody good evenin'. Don't forget to come over an' say "Hi" or buy a CD or two. It's gonna be a good'un.
