Why is it that everywhere I turn these days, there's somebody with a friendly face and lack of integrity?
Why is it that the people you feel like you can confide in the most are the people who churn the ever festering pool of gossip?
Why is it there no such thing as "one-on-one" anymore?
-There always seems to be this underground network, constantly trading off personal information until everyone is somehow involved in your immediate business. It's very tiring and sooner or later the truth bubbles to the surface, so in the end, there's no purpose other than face-value, instant gratification.
Doesn't friendship mean anything anymore? Doesn't friendship mean more that scoring brownie-points with that certain someone you've been dying to hook up with, or that one person who can shower you with gifts/popularity/etc. ?
Everyday, every situation, and with everyperson, I am real and honest. You can DEPEND on me to remain that way, even when it's not so convenient (for you or myself). Being this way has opened my eyes. It's not hard to be a good person. It's not hard to be a good friend.
A good friend may not always be there when you need them, but they sure as hell try and will always level with you. Everyone has their issues, and sometimes they get in the way of the relationships we make, but a good person will always keep you in the loop and never leave you hanging.
