What is upward party people? Just a quick note here to let you all know we officially started recording. Josh, fueled by Taco Bell and Zima, laid down drum beats for 10 original, never-before-recorded Springtime is Wartime songs between 5 PM on Friday and 5 PM on Saturday, only taking a little break between 3 AM and 10 AM to sleep. Consequently, the tracks really suck. No, but seriously, we are psyched to have started. Lots of laughs were had by all. The greatest quote thus far is, "How many takes does one take take?" Matt Knoles and Andy McCraw were the engineers at the helm. They are knowledgeable, funny, and they smell terrific (individually, but not together, sort of like hamburgers and new car smell). They seem to think we've got some real keepers on this album, songs that succeed in being simulatneously catchy and techy. We hope to finish up soon, so you all can decide for yourselves.
