Paranormal Activity

I had the fortunate experience of catching paranormal activity in the theatre last night in SF
The movie was well done, a bit drawn out and nothing I haven't seen before but a solid movie experience. I left feeling slightly satisfied with the haunting feeling that with a few minor alterations it could have been much more gratifying.
Alas, you will enjoy it at home on DVD just the same as in the movie house so save yourself the $12 and wait for DVD, it will be a dvd to anticipate!

Stay horrified, tis the season after all!

A Disagreeable Sort

Nice to see someone else not buying into the hype. Not that it was a bad movie, but it was not the groundbreaking cinema that most critics painted it to be. Don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it, but my reaction to the scares was, "I guess you had to be there." I'm sure those incidents would be unnerving if you were actually living through them, but watching them on screen? Big yawn...and big disappointment. Worth a viewing on DVD, just keep your expectations at a realistic level.

I found it to be well done, but certainly lacked anything that made me want to rave about the film. To DVD it shall go, from which a new home it will know.
