If we search to fill the void of our own loneliness by seeking love from others, we will inevitably find no consolation and often a deeper desolation. In other words, if we seek the love that we need, we will never find it.
When you live life in pursuit of satisfying of your own needs, or when you seek a love to satisfy your inadequacies, you will find it hard to ever be truly in love. As long as the focus remains on yourself your ability to love will always be restricted.
If a person seeks not to receive love, but rather to give it without strings attached, they will become lovable and will most certainly be loved by others in the end.
Beginning today, stop being concerned only with yourself and find ways to enrich the lives of those around you. Look ahead to the end goal, and visualize the results that can be achieved by loving others without concern for self-gain. This is the first step to becoming loved and easing the pain of loneliness.
