Hi y'all,

I'm just blogging to let the folks that actually read my drivel know that soon we shall be rocking a three-legged Cradle.  James (Geoffrey) Hough, AKA Hoff, AKA Jimmy G, AKA Jazza, will be leaving the band after we play The Little Civic on Tuesday 21st April with MC Lars and Failsafe, this will be his last show.

He's not dead, despite the dramatic use of this black and white picture!

There's no big story about this and we have known what's happening for a while, wanting to record Anchoring Aquarius and (Bloody) Footprints (which will still be available fairly soon) before we all moved on.

I would feel daft writing anything like "we wish him luck" or "there is no bad blood" because we all know each other too well and are too good friends to even think about writing such platitudes, it's simply a case of Hoff not feeling like he could commit to the band enough any more in a number of ways, and us not wanting to carry on like that if we weren't all committed.  Mutual thing, no big issues, blah blah blah.  It's a shame and in an ideal world we'd all be 100% committed to it and enjoy it that way, but anyone who has ever been in a band knows that 99% of the time that just isn't the case, and it can be a frustrating thing.

As for the three of us, for a while we've been talking about trying some different things, as much as i love smashing the fuck out of my guitar and playing as loudly and raucously as i can i fancy possibly trying something a little quieter, a little more subtle maybe, so we'll be looking into some new ideas after we've played our next gig...either that or crumble to dust.

We're not even sure we want a new drummer right now, if you are a drummer or know anyone that might be interested please get in touch, it might be something we consider once we've found our feet.

So come here to see Hoff's last show, and possibly the last time we play some of these songs in there current state, or at all.  Cheaper £5 tickets can be bought from us, hit us up.

Take it easy, keep on truckin',

A cracking drummer, a natural. Shame he's leaving but a good opportunity to try other things.

Even though I knew about this I am still mighty saddened now that I read it :O(

On a brighter note, Geoffrey?! Ha, ha :O)

It's pretty sad news, but from speaking with you all it seems pretty clear it's for the best.

You should take requests for this last (4-piece) show!

Either that or just let me pick the whole set.

Shocked to say the least.

I know a cracking keyboard drummer if that is any good?
