So for the past 6 months, nothing has happened publicly regarding Broken Shadows.
That trend has to change, because now, we've got some big news for you guys and we
hope that this may "tickle your fancy" as it's tickling ours.
First off. Once again, We've got some new members in our lovely little group.
With the departure of Josh and Rob last year, we were kind of left wounded and needed
time to "heal". This time around, we've got a few new guys, who we feel are as strong as Josh and Rob were. For once, we're not doubting someone else. We know that what few shows we played without them before were a little bit weak, because the band wasn't tight as it used to be due to the new players. However, These new guys are rockin' our worlds. They come in every practice and show us new songs, new spins on songs in progress, and best off, play it well from the get-go. We think that you'll enjoy these two as much as we do, and with that, we'd like to announce our new bass player as Big C, and our new guitarist as Johnny.
Secondly. NEW SONGS, NEW ALBUM, NEW SHOWS, NEW MERCH, NEW EVERYTHING!
We've recently secured a date to start recording our new album. Which we are very excited for. Our new songs are DEFINITELY heavier than our older stuff, and quite honestly, we think it's heavier in a better direction. With this new stuff you can tell that we've expanded as songwriters and found ourselves a new groove to jam with. It's still the groovy Broken Shadows that you know and love, but we've expanded quite a bit on our rhythm structures, lyrics and overall, our style. We're still first and foremost a groove metal band, but with this new album, you're finally gonna have something to really mosh to, and we expect it.
So when will we start this recording you ask??
First day in the studio will be JUNE 19th. We're gonna be recording with Jason Mays of Split Nixon fame, and using the same studio in which he recorded his own band's material. So if you're interested to hear the quality that this guy can produce, head on over to his band's myspace page at:

We're really excited to be working with Jason and the guys from Split Nixon to bring you the album we wish we would've recorded before.
We're even gonna be posting up some "webisodes" of the recording of our new album, so look for the first videos coming soon. You'll get to see some behind the scenes looks at the process of our new album, and even the band just chillin out having one of our random conversations.
Also, around the same time we release the "webisodes", we'll also be putting out some new promotional photos, of us in one of our sexy poses. We know you'll enjoy that :P
Along with those new promo pics, we'll be showing the Album Cover around the same time as well, and announcing the title of our album.
Lastly, We'll be booking some new shows, midway through the recording process, to let you guys hear some of our new stuff, meet our new guys, and rock your faces off for the first time in a LONG time.
We really hope that you guys are looking forward to our new material, and we're sorry that it's taken so long. Hopefully all of you soldiers out there still give a damn about Broken Shadows and will be happy to see us on stage, as we will be happy to see you guys in the crowd.
