Well the top 10 in the Global Search for the Ultimate Indie Band had been announced, and we are excited about the fact that 4!!!! of our artists are among those 10. Those 4 include the bands below with their My Space addys beside them.

We encourage everyone who is reading this e-letter to check out all 4 bands/artists above and cast a vote for one. At this time, it appears that only one vote per computer will be allowed during this final competition. So make that vote count.
The criteria for selection is 50% from the on-line voting and 50% from the judging of the artist based on their My Space presentations. Thus, all of the bands will be in it until a decision is made. But the idea for the ultimate indie band is one which can A) provide the viewing audience with the type of music they expect from a show like the -ROCK AGAINST DIABETES event as well as bringing a large audience into the event and the contributions to the Diabetes Charities that this audience will bring with them. So 50% of the competition will be based on the bands music and presentation in the eyes of the judges, and 50% will be based on how many votes are cast for them which will be a measure of how well they are perceived by a prospective viewing audience. So voting will not be the ONLY final criteria, but for those artists/bands who do poorly in the voting, they will, in all probability, have dealt themselves out of the hand.
For those of you who did not make it into the final round, there will be other events being put on by Rock Against Diabetes, so stay tuned for further updates on those events.
Again congratulations to the Piranhas, Alexa, The Flairs, and the guys from Starving For Gravity on their success of making it to the final round. This is a lot like American Idol, but on a Rock Band basis. You have to be REALLY GOOD to have made it this far.
