Hello Friends of Townes Van Zandt.

We here at Townes Van Zandt Central would like to welcome you and share a little news about Townes.

You may have noticed that a lot of Townes' records are getting very hard to find. You may have heard rumors of Estate copyright infringement lawsuits against several record companies, distributors and individuals.

Well, good news, those days are over and the good times are coming!

All of Townes' live recordings have come under the family's control and will be coming out on TVZ Records, owned and controlled by Jeanene, JT, Will and Katie Belle Van Zandt.

That would include: Rear View Mirror, Live & Obscure, Abnormal, The Highway Kind, In Pain, Road Songs, Live at McCabes, Live at the Jester Lounge, Houston, TX, 1966, Acoustic Blue & Live at Union Chapel, London, England.

These will be released through a manufacturing and distribution deal with Fat Possum Records over the next year or two. We will also be re-issuing No Deeper Blue and when the current licenses run out, In the Beginning and A Far Cry from Dead.

Fat Possum Records is now the proud owner of 5 of Townes' early studio albums and has just released the incredible For the Sake of the Song, Our Mother the Mountain, Townes Van Zandt, Delta Momma Blues, Flyin' Shoes, in addition to the soundtrack to the fabulous TVZ documentary film by Margaret Brown "Be Here to Love Me".

All of the above mentioned music is now available for download at most of your favorite download services and it's all legal this time folks!

We want you all to know that we appreciate your interest in and support of Townes and his music and Townes Van Zandt Central!
