Hey guys, we thought we would update you on our latest trip
to the 'Malta Rock Festival'.
We recently travelled to Malta where we played to thousands
at the annual Malta Rock Festival and mixed with classic rock ‘n’ rollers,
Gerry and the Pacemakers.
The event, held at Ta‘ Qali National Park over August 7-9,
was attended by thousands of rock fans who saw an exclusive showcase of a
selection of our new tracks from our forthcoming debut album, due out this
autumn.
Malta Rock was held in an amphitheatre in the village of Ta’
Qali – a different type of atmosphere to what
we’re used to in Scotland – and we felt the show went down really well, despite
the sweltering heat!
The organisers
had us staying in a five-star luxury Hotel about 15 minutes drive from the festival
itself. We were staying alongside all the international acts and
representatives involved which gave us a great opportunity to meet the other
bands and connect with important people.
The first
night was a more 60/70s based rock ’n’ roll with British legends Gerry and the
Peacemakers headlining. They really got the crowd involved and were very
professional, what you’d expect from a band with so much experience.
Next was the
rock night on Saturday, which we played at. The sound check went well in the
afternoon, although the heat was intense to say the least - especially for us
Scots. By night the heat had dropped, allowing us to really put on a show and
perform at our best.
“With an
attendance of thousands, the crowd warmed to us from our very first song. We
played some brand new tracks from our soon to be released debut album.
It really
gave us a buzz to see the reaction we received for our music and stage show.
Hearing the audience call for an encore at the end was really the icing on the
cake".
Some photos
of the gig will be up on the site soon for you all to see.
We will keep
you up-to-date with any other news over coming weeks and watch this space for
details of our forthcoming debut album.
Estrella.
