Myself and the Trumpets Of Death have been busy writing, rehearsing and recording over the past month in Leeds with the wonderful Richard Formby. As well as working on demo recordings for the new album we also have two brand-new tracks set for a 7" release soon soon, and an improvised piece set around the traditional maritime song of cannibalism at sea 'The Ship In Distress' featuring a guest vocal appearance from Tees-based guitarist/throat-singer Ben Woodrow which is available for your listening pleasure at www.myspace.com/..benjaminwetherill or www.myspace.com/..trumpetsofdeath. We are pleased to be showcasing some of this new material when we play for the lovely people at the Local in London next weekend when we hit the King's Head in Crouch End, N8 8AA on Friday 20th March alongside Balky Mule, Don't Move! & Le B.
