"Bard - How do you know it was me who did the something bad?"  The pronoun.  In the song, you don't sing "he did something bad", or "she did something bad".  Oh no!  You sing "I did something bad"!  Dead giveaway!   Though I'm only kidding of course.  I know it's possible for a songwriter to write a song about another person or character and then sing from that character's point of view.  All the same, I just can't help but tease sometimes.
