Eight years ago, a 17-year-old college freshman was reunited with a 19-year-old acquaintance that she had has a crush on as early as age 13. On September 14, I took the leap, told him my feelings, which were reciprocated, and we became a couple. By the end of that year, I was living with him. By the beginning of the next year I was pregnant. We have gone through some terrible times and some of the best times since then, and on March 4, 2009, we were finally married. I know that he and I can overcome absolutely anything. We have gone through hardships that would have ripped other couples apart, but not us. Our love has stood the test of time, and I look forward to making the next 8 years even better. We aren't just lovers, but we're best friends. I am never been so evenly matched with anyone in my entire life, and I am grateful for having found that so early on in life.
