**Roller derby league partners with Monmouth County SPCA, collects two cars full of donations**
The Jersey Shore Roller Girls led a collection for the Monmouth County SPCA that netted more than two carloads full of pet food, toys and supplies for the non-profit organization.
The Jersey Shore Roller Girls, a roller derby league representing Monmouth, Ocean and northern Atlantic counties, held the collection at its recent roller derby bout, Aug. 22 in Asbury Park Convention Hall.
Roller derby skaters, fans and the public stopped by to drop off all sorts of items that will give the dogs, cats and other animals housed in the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals shelter in Eatontown more to eat and new items to play with.
The Monmouth County SPCA is still in need of all types of pet and animal food, toys, bedding and other supplies. Even office supplies are needed for the administrative offices. For a complete list, visit www.monmouthcountyspca.org/
