We’re having a contest! You can win a pair of tickets!
JSRG is having a retweet, repost, reblog contest!!!
Here’s the scoop. There’s three pairs of tickets we’re giving away. Each contest is for about a week. During that time, you post our press release somewhere online (myspace blog, blogspot, facebook note, etc). Write to jsrgmarketing AT yahoo DOT com with a link to your post, and give us your name, too. At the end of the contest, if we draw your name, you win!
There are three chances to win, as we’re holding this contest three times between now and Oct. 3’s bout. You can only win once, but you do get an entry for each time you post our press release. The contest is open to everybody and is good for tickets on Oct. 3’s bout only.
So help us spread the word, and you can possibly win tickets! How cool is that!
Here is the first press release to repost! Cut and paste this text below, now until 5p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, the deadline to enter.
CANADA VS. JERSEY IN OCTOBER ROLLER DERBY !
The Jersey Shore Roller Girls’ all-star team will battle for international dominance this October when they square off against their sisters to the north, the Montreal Roller Derby Sexpos.
The two teams will meet for the first time ever Oct. 3 at the legendary Convention Hall in Asbury Park, a night that promises to be full of fast, furious action. In addition to all the Canadian versus American mayhem, the evening is zombie-themed.
Yes, zombies will be roaming Convention Hall as part of the fun for the New Jersey Zombie Walk, held throughout the city of Asbury Park. Bout staff and many others in attendance will be dressed as zombies, and dancers from Asbury Park Dance & Yoga will re-enact Michael Jackson’s Thriller as the half-time show.
Attitude won’t be the only thing dished out that night, though. As always, the Jersey Shore Roller Girls – a roller derby league representing Monmouth, Ocean and northern Atlantic counties - have partnered with a charity to collect needed items. The roller girls will accept donations of coats, jackets, mittens, scarves and similar items from 5 p.m. onward. Donors will enter to win a JSRG prize package.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Whistle blows at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door, $15 with military ID and $5 for children. To buy tickets now online, visit
