For a while I wanted the opportunity to meet and work with John Henny.
His
podcasts are famous throughout cyberspace and his
website is talked
about amongst the lovers of vocal technique and care of the voice.
With 20+ years of teaching experience. John became the new
IMT (Instructor Management Team)in Speech Level Singing™ International
organization. There are only 8
IMT in the world.
From California to London he arrived on thursday 19th April with one and
a half week of private instruction and two workshops in vocal technique
and application filling up his schedule.
I was present during John Henny's lessons and I saw each student who
entered the studio walk out after their lessons with complete satisfaction.
They were given immediate results in a very fast and simple way.
With his super acute ear John can recognize even the smallest sign of
unbalance in the vocal production process. His warm and energetic
personality makes you feel in a friendly and secure atmosphere. His way
to clarify doubts is very precise and easy to understand. His approach to
finding the connection, building strength and
vibrato is very skilled.
John Henny is a true maestro in the art of teaching singing. His application
of the technique
Speech Level Singing™ is highly effective, fast and
simple.
On sat 27th he conducted a Masterclass and an application workshop which
were very successful.

Singers travelled from Scotland, Italy, Portugal and even Cape Verde
just to have a little time with him. They were so satisfied that you could
see it on their faces. John was shining!.
John working with an italian singerOnly until it was my turn to have a lesson with him that I could really
feel the effectiveness of his teaching. Nothing I say can be compared
to what you feel having a lesson with him or observing him teaching.
There is no one better than him to show you his greatness. Everyone
who has worked with him understands what I am talking about. The
best advice than I can give to those who haven't is to go to listen to his
podcasts and to visit his
website.
The final day of his visit just right after John finished his last lesson I
approached him and ask if he could resume in a phrase a vocal tip or
advice what it would be. He paused for a moment thinking and answered
me:
"Focus on the process not on the results. Stay in the process
and the results will follow".I thought it was a great advise. He could not have put it better. That phrase
wraps everything what we learned with his visit. Thank you very much John!
