Blog day 5 "I was made for fun!" day off today!!! Great friends? Check! Lots of food and sweets? Check! Good entertainment? Check! Fun location? Double check! No drama? Priceless! so I'm really tired and this may be short but sweet. After eating all over new York city and seeing shrek the musical, (my favorite food was the crumbs cupcake which will be in heaven with me), eating at a place where our waitress sang fun tunes, hanging out with friends whew, I'm ready for sleep but I made an internal commitment to write so write I will. i am writing from my iPhone which I think has a special addictive chemical on the screen that makes me want to touch it and check it every five minutes. Because I am using the iPhone I might have spelling or capitolization errors. i am not going to be profound or make any points tonight. I will just say that I have had a great day. Even on the subway we were entertained by a little Indian man singing and playing guitar. While I waited for shrek to start I played video games. We met friends for dinner and had great conversations about how to help the world. It was a fun day! question of the day: what was the most you ever did on a day off?

I have to share this...
When I was 17, I visited NYC for one day with friends (this was summer of 2000). We had the whole day planned from early morning to late at night - we were so deprived of sleep! Our day was composed of visiting Liberty Island, Ellis Island, a Broadway musical, and then dinner and dancing at a swing dance bar. While at Liberty Island, the question was asked, "Do we want to just use our money for going up to the top of the WTC, instead of going dancing and seeing the musical?" My response, "Let's just stick the the plan. We can always come back and do the towers another time. They'll always be there!"

The year after, we all knew what happened: they were destroyed. Nothing is forever. Needless to say, that day I spent in NYC was a fun and memorable.

I suppose I flew to San Fran, got settled at a friend's house, ran to the church to get ready for worship, ate with amazing friends after a real night with God, Prophesied my brains out and, finally, watched some silly videos of yodeling (sp?), then off to sleep. :)

I loved Shrek the Musical.  We listen to the sound track all the time.  Hope you got to see Brian D'Aracy James do Shrek.  He has an amazing voice and he's a nice guy too.

BTW-your status still says you are in a relationship.  Unless you are in another one.

Enjoy NYC!!
