So, I missed day 6 because of how crazy my travel schedule was. Today I was in a conference in New Haven Ct. That is not what this blog is about, but it was a really fun conference with Mike Smith, Georgian and Winnie Bannoff, and Ignite Team. Now onto my subject: Secrets We all have them, good ones, sometimes bad ones. I heard a major leadership trainer say a principle that I believe for the most part "Everyone will tell one person your secret. No one was is geared to keep it to themselves." I do believe that almost everyone verbally processes secrets that are told, but some people have learned how to be incredible secret keepers, and that is where relationship of intimacy is formed....you become really good at keeping your mouth shut. I am famous for telling peoples good news, I have had to battle the urge to hint of friends engagements, new babies coming, financial blessings, etc. because I love to celebrate. Other people are gossips and want to tell bad news because there is such enjoyment in knowing something that the whole world doesn't know yet. Reality in God: He trusts those with revelation and His heart who He can confide in. To confide means to keep it until He releases it. I have learned the hard way many times (to many times which meant it wasn't the easy character work) that secrets are better untold. Its a principle that people who carry a lot of authority have to live by, the faster you tell a secret the quicker you lose your authority. So why do I bring it up? Because so many people are wondering why they are not growing in authority with God or others, and this is one HUGE key! On a happy note I will tell you one secret: Jennifer Toledo is going to name her baby Shawn! They love me so much that she can't help it! Oh yeah and my next blog might be on people who lie. I would guess it to be about secrets?

I've only screwed up once when it came to something someone devuldged to me. I wont say what it was, but regardless I thought of trying to take things into my own hands to try and help the situation; what wound up happening though was I made the situation worse. Lesson learned: don't meddle in affairs that are not your own, regardless if the party involved chose to tell you about it.

I'm not a divulger (is that a word?) of secrets, but I have caught myself releasing information that probably shouldn't be. Sometimes wisdom and holding one's tongue even when it isn't requested or required.

What do you think about people who don't do into details or release identities when sharing about a instance of something that's of concern? I've always handled things case by case, depending who I'm talking to and what I'm talking about. 

(I really am asking this.)

I don't know where I heard this, but I once heard that one sign of maturity is when you derive more satisfaction from keeping a secret than from telling it... i like that :)

I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that God would tell me things He only wants to share with me (at least for now) Maybe we're just not that good of friends yet ;)

Although there are a few revelations and visions God has shown me over my own life that I haven't shared particular details of with a single living soul. (not even my dog!) Hmm, maybe that counts? I've shared parts, or generalizations, but there's not a person who knows the full complete story, except me and my Papa! I think it may stay that way for a while.

Maybe that is part of the charachter process you are talking about. Some people have had a real hard time swallowing even the parts or the generalizations, wow I can see heads exploding already. haha. It's made me more careful about who I tell what to. It's hard because it's good stuff! Although I guess if it's about stuff God is doing in my life, that is a "God sized dream" there is the hurdles of unbelief, jealousy, etc to go through. And there is alot alot alot of charachter process I need in my own life in order to walk into the things He's shown me, which I'm certainly walking through at the moment. Maybe it's the kind of thing I can't expect other people to relate to if they haven't been through the same measure of process or revelation. Not that that is a bad thing, it's just where people are at. There are just a few things that I am holding onto in my heart that I can only process with Jesus right now. I don't even really understand them... I need so much more process!

Hmm, all that to say I think sometimes good things are harder to keep secret than bad things!

Jesus grew in grace and favor with God AND MEN till age 30.He grew with secrets in him for 30 yrs but when it was time he blew the lid off the bottle and let his jeanie out.His wine had aged for quite awhile.He had strong drink didnt he?and at first it seemed he lost it all on the cross but thats when he was giving away the most and thats when He left his mark upon all mankind for all time.
     i say if you got it flaunt it,strut it and use it or lose it.fire all your guns at once and explode into his face,God has free refills.God held nothing back from us BUT we hold out on Him alot.It takes more bravery and guts to spill all your guts for God then it does not too.
    but thats not a liscence to cast your pearls before swine,but you better know whats a pearl and who is a swine when you get on the house top to shout.
   i know God has 007's and 008's walking around,secret agents,i know it's a powerful truth and keeps the "flesh" buffetted and in place and the "big head syndrome" in check but i also know God gives seed to be planted too.
   IF YOU REALLY HAVE A "GOD SECRET" YOU BETTER FIND OUT WHY YOU HAVE IT AND HOW YOUR SUPPOSED TO HANDLE IT.THERE'S A REASON GOD GAVE IT TO YOU.MAYBE TO PRAY IT THRU.MAYBE JUST TO GET YOU THRU.MAYBE JUST BECAUSE HE LIKES YOU.OR FOR SOME FUTURE USE.
     "HANDLE WITH CARE".............IT'S A UPS FRAGILE PACKAGE.but always remember God has free refills and there's plenty more where that secret came from.
