In case anyone is wondering......This is CHIEFLY's version of a traditional song, originating in 1905, now part of the public domain. Greg had remembered singing it in fifth-grade music class, and made up a different version with different chords and melody, kind of as a joke. After he hesitantly played his take for the band, it took on a life of it's own.
This had to be explained, since too many people ask: why did you write a song about a mule?
