Hello Friends (and Potential Friends),

First, I would like to say, welcome!  Whether you found me, or I found you, either way I'm glad you're here.

My name is Donna, otherwise known as Bird Mommy.  I thought that I would introduce myself because sometimes when I send out friend requests, I get messages wondering if I am a "real person".  I just wanted to tell you that I am! 

I know that some of the requests I send may not make sense to you if you only glance at my name and didn't scroll down to my friends list, so I want to tell you a little about me and what I hope to accomplish here.

I am a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, and a businessperson.  My primary reason for starting this profile was to share my children's DVD with people and to network with other businesses.  However, there is so much more to me than that!  I am also someone who cares deeply about social issues and feels that there is a level of responsibility involved in being  a public figure.  There are many issues that I feel strongly about, such as helping the missing, universal healthcare, and helping charities.  So, while I may look like "just another business", I can assure you that I am not here to spam you or annoy you.  If I sent you a friend request, it's because I was on your profile and I really liked it.

I try to send requests to all of the missing persons profiles that I find on myspace.  My webmaster runs a missing persons profile, and she sends all of her clients messages about missing children and adults, so you may have more than one business send you a request if you got one from me.  If you see "Green Web Design" or "Missing Persons Cases & Others Who Need Our Help" on the friends list of a business, then it means they have the same webmaster we do, and she has asked them to add your cause.

I add profiles about universal health care, becuase I feel passionately about it.  I also add profiles for nonprofit organizations whose goals I also share.  I add other businesses as well, and I also add daycare centers and other services related to children.

The only thing that I ask of people who send me incoming friend requests, is that they be "G" rated.  I will not approve anyone who has pornographic or adult materials on their profile, because I want my profile to be "Kid Safe" for what I hope are obvious reasons!
