Dear President-Elect Obama, Congratulations on being elected to the presidency of United States! I am so looking forward to an era of change. I am also looking forward to a return to the rule of law, and the restoration of our civil liberties, which have been seriously eroded over the past eight years. I think that in order to demonstrate a renewed commitment to constitutional democracy, we must hold accountable those in the Bush administration who worked so hard to destroy our liberty. We must show the world that, in America, no one, not even the president, is above the law. It is not enough to simply allow those who willfully and repeatedly violated nearly half of our Bill of Rights, assuming vast extra-legal powers based on an absurd interpretation of "inherent powers" in Article II of the Constitution, to ride off into the sunset. I hope that you will appoint a special prosecutor to look into the crimes of the outgoing administration, and follow the evidence wherever it leads. Respectfully,Willie T
