wowaaaa! all hands aboard!
wasnt it fab glamourous last saturday? it was sooo good to have style guru and dj extraordinaire mr. duvall amongst us, and oh my did felix the houserat and matt modny play some of the finest most delicious euro sounds ever... pictures are online too!
this week, we are very very happy to introduce a new crew to the club new amsterdam family:
PIRATES ON DECKS - five pirates on a pillagery through Austrian and international clubbing oceans. The pirates on decks are a collective of djs, which is by now renowned for their organic and fluent way of bringing different styles in music together. They are always on a mission to enthral the willing crowds as well as the yet to be captured dancefloors under their command. Using weapons like the best music and a full-fledged positivity, to boldly go where no one has gone before. By mixing an eclectic range of different club styles they make a menacing cocktail of genres in a dramaturgically empathic way. Since years they steam up not only their engines but more importantly the dance floors with their tantalising mix of breaks, electro, mash ups, techhouse and minimal. that is rather a maximal sound palette, we would say. and they do it ever so well. once they have achieved the mutiny of the ship called club, and set their sails for a new adventure, they leave the crowd with a blissful memory of a night that pumped the groove.
and now they join club new Amsterdam for the first time, cause we love em. the crew that will bring you their sound this Saturday are: NICK WHIZZ, DJ REDSTAR and EL KJU
oh, and the first lady obt will be spinning a little too, and dont be surprised if there is a little surprise act some time, we are not saying what, it wouldnt be a surprise now, would it?
