This week finds us in the midst of final performances by two of our favorite NW bands. As news of good friends passing through like this is often delivered with a heavy heart, we are relieved to know that all involved parties are already producing or will go on to produce equally amazing and significant work in the very near future. "Significant" is emphasized because justifying their previous efforts as such, in this day and age, seems to be empirically distorted by the same media outlets that have nurtured these relationships from the start. Aside from the obvious relevance to our own personal culture, no greater cause has appropriately given us circumstance to the cliche "there is a time and a place for everything", and as such no person or thing can objectively argue otherwise. If you happen to be near either of these places at these specific times, we encourage you to witness the brilliance of our friends in their finest hours. As it would seem, an era is ending someplace, somewhere, and like us you just heard about it over myspace. Now and for the indefinite future, simply cached in time. Point, click, drag and drop, motherfuckers. All formations are impermanent.
H is for Hellgate perform this Thursday at the Comet Tavern in Seattle. The Braille Tapes perform this Friday at the Old Foundry in Bellingham.
