Metaphysical Reflection – A Master Speaks....

First Talk in The Oak Grove....

....

Amidst so much confusion and sorrow it is essential to find creative understanding of ourselves, for without it no relationship is possible. Only through right thinking can there be understanding. Neither leaders nor a new set of values nor a blueprint can bring about this creative understanding; only through our own right effort can there be right understanding.....

....

How is it possible then to find this essential understanding? From where shall we start to discover what is real, what is true, in all this conflagration, confusion, and misery? Is it not important to find out for ourselves how to think rightly about war and peace, about economic and social conditions, about our relationship to our fellow men? Surely there is a difference between right thinking and right or conditioned thought. We may be able to produce in ourselves imitatively right thought, but such thought is not right thinking. Right or conditioned thought is uncreative. But when we know how to think rightly for ourselves, which is to be living, dynamic, then it is possible to bring about a new and happier culture.....

....

I would like during these talks to develop what seems to me to be the process of right thinking so that each one of us is truly creative, and not merely enclosed in a series of ideas or prejudices. How shall we then begin to discover for ourselves what is right thinking?....

“… may you avoid the error of seeing the Whole as the sum of its illusory parts. The whole apple tree is virtually in the seed or grain, and you should not say that the apple tree is formed of parts which together make up the whole tree. Each particle of the apple tree is apple tree in its nature, and its fruit will be it anew, integrally, concretized in its virtual form.”....

Modern day meditation for Autumn

Recognize the origin of cause is within. You can sense-intuit the presence of your inner power when you are still. Create a special still zone for regular 'tranquility breaks' in your day… morning and evening are usually easy for the work-a-day world schedule. Change your belief, and those shared with others, that something has never been done so it is impossible.

If everyone believes there is a possible way to find an end to first heaven isolation of the sick and immobilized,  we will discover the cure for maladies that plague us. ....

The children who do not doubt in us can be our inspiration. Their faith helps us to change the world.

While we still live in the military era, the belief systems we hold real remain our foundation. The co-created objective reality – the Terran collective, the external paradigm we accept as 'the real world' is elastic. Change your commitment and believe there is a cure for Muscular Dystrophy, Sickle Cell Anemia, and AIDS. Believe we can find the cure for cancer and you move the global community one step closer to a better reality.

..Wasilla Watch: Sarah Palin and the Rape Kits

By DOROTHY SAMUELS

Published: September 25, 2008

..Even in tough budget times, there are lines that cannot be crossed. So I was startled by this tidbit reported recently by The Associated Press: When Sarah Palin was mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, the small town began billing sexual-assault victims for the cost of rape kits and forensic exams.
Ms. Palin owes voters an explanation. What was the thinking behind cutting the measly few thousand dollars needed to cover the yearly cost of swabs, specimen containers and medical tests? Whose dumb idea was it to make assault victims and their insurance companies pay instead? Unfortunately, her campaign is shielding the candidate from the press, so Americans may still be waiting for answers on Election Day.
The rape-kit controversy is a troubling matter. The insult to rape victims is obvious. So is the sexism inherent in singling them out to foot the bill for investigating their own case. And the main result of billing rape victims is to protect their attackers by discouraging women from reporting sexual assaults.

That’s why when Senator Joseph Biden, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee, drafted the 1994 Violence Against Women Act, he included provisions to make states ineligible for federal grant money if they charged rape victims for exams and the kits containing the medical supplies needed to conduct them. (Senator John McCain, Ms. Palin’s running mate, voted against Mr. Biden’s initiative, and his name has not been among the long list of co-sponsors each time the act has been renewed.)

How would George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Thomas Paine vote if they had been presented with a proposal to bail out Wall Street and not Main Street??
