A 178 member jury of extremely cool Canadians have shortlisted our very own BLACK MOUNTAIN for the prestigious Polaris Prize, the annual award for a full-length Canadian album judged solely on artistic merit with no regard for genre or sales. Congratulations to the Black Mountain army!

Congrats. I've been a big fan since the DRUGANAUT single. You folks deserve all the accolades, awards, and high praise that comes your way. I hope you guys can convince Bon Iver, Ladyhwak, and others on the mighty Jagjaguwar label to make much needed festival appearance@ Coachella and bonnaroo next year. You are the next revolution, along with Black Angels and Band of Horses. Nevermind!!! How 'bout a JagFest & Friends Festival!!! AWESOME!!! Anywho, I'm off topic. AWESOME! i love that album, one of the best albums so far this year i think, and that award sounds fitting since the album completely transcends any genres
