today is February 11th. 8 days from today will mark the one year anniversary of us losing this Grand Trickster, Giant drummer, prolific writer, unparalleled film maker, Supernova composer, courageous poet, gentleman, smokin and drinkin recluse who sacrificed all earthly possessions to maintain one foot always in the Otherworld. He lived like a monk with nothing but his notebooks, a change of clothes, an ashtray and his 3rd eye never sleeping. He slept on the floor and he played in mid air. He had many admirers but chose few friends. He was cut throat with his wit but always selfless with the ones he loved. He was not of this world and was a gift we are still trying to fathom, we will be for a long time. Just as he always kept one foot in the Otherworld - he still does, except now that world is ours.
