As I was awaken by sounds of rain, wind and thunder, I thought to myself... "It's going to be one of those days..."

As I drove through the storm into work, hitting puddle after puddle and pot-hole after pot-hole I thought to myself... "I don't feel like working today"

As the rain and thunder continued for a few more minutes, I thought to myself... "It's been a great week so far, why let a little rain ruin my day?"

At lunch today, I drove with my convertible top down, enjoying a sunny day with no clouds in the sky and I thought... "This is the day the Lord has made and I'm surely going to rejoice and be glad in it!"

You know, this day made me think about life and how we allow one or two incidents in it to ruin our day or our lives - making us negative, focused on the things we would rather be doing instead of the things we should be. But as the clouds cleared today, so will the trials of your life pass.

Remember that behind the clouds, rain, thunder and lighting, the sun is always shining just as bright and intense waiting to brighten your day. It's only a matter of having the faith and trust that the clouds of life will pass and the warm rays of the sun will embrace your skin once more.

Stay focused on the goal at hand and let God focus on getting you through life.
