Although there are virtually hundreds of Streetwize fan sites on MySpace, yet there is presently no active MySpace group area where the Streetwize fans could meet as a central space.

The only MySpace Group site that I know of is the one established by Kyrie here:

Of course you can correct me on this and tell me of other groups that exist. Group search on MySpace didn't lead me anywhere....

Regarding Streetwize Rule (a name I frankly don't like personally) and despite having a healthy membership of 35, it has dismal participation, just a total of three topics and 5 messages in total (three of them from Kyrie the group organizer herself). And this in the course of a year and a half as the group was established on 27 February 2006. Obviously there is something not working here.

We believe that Streetwize has true international appeal and all fans have to be rallied to join in an active group and make this a vibrant meeting place. We are used to the daily messages now and eventually the novelty wears off and what remains are repetitive and frankly meaningless messages, whereas what we need is an active discussion away from romantic comments.

About the name Streetwize International. I initially wanted to secure a shorter name like Streetwize, but apparently it is taken by 2 individual members who have posted nothing whatsoever:

It is a useless space and they have done absolutely zilch. But its their name.... So we end up with a longer name, but we remain true to the nature of Streetwize, namely Streetwize International for a great international band. This ties in nicely with the unofficial fan website that I established about a month ago called Streetwize International that has a huge and expanding resource of Streetwize site links and a reasonably well updated news at:

Feel free to join and respond here to anything related to Streetwize. Activity may be slow at start, I know that, but it will ceratinly catch up. Even if the response is not as I expect, I plan to keep this going as long as it takes. It certainly won't have just 3 topics and 5 messages after a year and a half I assure you.

It is also comforting to know that this is not directly associated with management, or the band members. It is just a fan site, a collection of hopefully avid and knowledgeable caring fans who take sides with positive aspects rather than the negative. Because of its independence, the flow of information may be freer this way.

I know there will be some who will express contrary views to what we usually like to hear, but the right of response is assured to everybody. Eventually it will be a healthy place. I may have to exercise certain constraints and rules in case things get out of hand, but it surely will not be heavy-handed. I will express the reasons if I censure anything.... It will be fair and firm for a long-running rapport between all members and plus outside readers who may not be actually members, but may join if they find it worth their while later on.
