The Laurels had their collective dials set to "feedback" and "repeat" and did everything electronically possible to envelope the few interlopers into their world of distorted bass, distorted vocals and, if possible, distorted distortion. Not only is the music an ode to everything Jesus And Mary Chain mixed with the urgency of Stars, it's also a unique and enjoyable retelling of the shoegaze tale.
