Hello Kiddies,
Long time between posts, and big apply poly loggies for the delay. We've not been idle, I promise you.
First, I suppose I should officially announce that the guitarist vacancy has been filled by none other than our own Pamela Richardson. Long the voice and rhythm guitarist of her own band The Pralines (who are recording their 2nd CD in a couple weeks with me producing), she has risen to the challenge and will be holding down rhythm for Todd and Matt. I must admit what a happy surprise it was to find our Pam creating some very trippy sounds with a SLIDE!!!
Next, we're just about done with public events for 2009. On Saturday August 23, we will be at the Willow Ranch in Lacota Michigan for the Peacefest - taking the stage at 11:15pm. We'll debut more new material and will be leaving nothing left in the paint can. Come on out for what promises to be an AMAZING night.
Finally, The Red Plastic Buddha will soon be back in the studio to record our follow up CD All Out Revolution. Details and recording dates are being finalized, but the new material is sounding very strong. Can't wait to get into the studio to begin working in sound.
I should also offer up the first hint of a surprise in the offing. We're in a very creative place right now, and it's looking like we have more material than the 10 songs we had intended for the next release. What this means for you, the loyal RPB fan, is that there may be a limited release CD to come out either before or after All Out Revolution. Not sure of the details yet, but stay tuned.
Thanks to all of you who came out to support us this year, who downloaded our tunes (paid for them I hope), bought our CDs and merch, reviewed us, played our music on your shows, shared our music with friends, or just shared the journey with us. Making music for a living still remains the dream, and making music for love is the reality.
But love isn't such a bad thing.
Peace to you all.
Tim, Todd, Dav, Matt & Pamela
