Hey. For anyone that hasn't talked to me in eons and got a friend request. I'm not stalking, I probably found you by searching old schools or what not.... or maybe I'm really just stalking you.

I don't know how long its been since I've talked to any given individual, so I'll just say that there's been a lot of shit going on around here. As you can see from my picture, I'm a dad. If I haven't been in touch with you in that amount of time. WOW. My daughter Liberty Anne, Libby for short, is just over 2 and a half now. So that picture is a little old. I'm trying to find time to upload pics and stuff... but this page is brand new.

If you knew me in school and you are trying to connect the dots from the slightly arrogant smart-ass that did good in math and science and rode bicycles non-stop, to the redneck truck driver, I don't know what to say. Life has a lot of curves. Sometimes you are the round peg and you slide right into the square hole with room to spare. Other times you are the square peg and its illegal to murder people. Or something to that effect.

In the past few years I'd gotten back into flying Radio Controlled airplanes and helicopters like I did when I was a kid. Also I have an antique John Deere B model farm tractor just for fun, and because I guess I'm somehow drawn to what it metaphorically represents to me about our country's history and the men and women who made it great... before it peaked and started spiraling downhill. (Thanks Corporate America, special interest groups, lobbyists, NAFTA, supreme court justices that make decisions based on their feelings instead of the constitution, and laws involving campaign reform, gun control, and the PATRIOT act that are stripping away the our rights a little at a time.)

Up until about a month ago I had a 1923 T-bucket hot-rod. My friend was killed in a horrible accident while he was driving in it. That friend was also my flying buddy, both full scale airplanes and models, and pretty much my sounding board through my break-up with Libbys mom. Its been a long month without too too many avenues or outlets to talk about all the things in my head. About the only thing that really makes me smile lately is spending time with my daughter. She's a riot, and a stubborn little chip of the old block. She's wonderful.
