I hope I'm wrong, too.  But I worry that the show's creators sort of wrote themselves into a corner with a season finale like that.  I mean, the show couldn't have been too cheap, with as much CGI as it has, but how expensive will it be to show a submerged eastern seaboard?  And a network won't spend that kind of money on a show that doesn't get good ratings.  I wish there was a rule that shows had to last at least long enough to solve the mysteries they revolve around.  Then, we wouldn't need to worry.  :)
