Facebook users complain..., users are finding out that their online purchases become online advertising, sharing their identity and purchases with all their friends. IMHO (but nobody asks me), this is socially unacceptable behavior illustrating that so called "social networks" are not so social afterall.
Companies exist only the the extent to which society tolerates them, and we may be just on the cusp of a pandemic backlash online. This could threaten ad revenues everywhere. Start watching for more and more countermeasure products and services.
