hello everyone

this is caleb...

i dont have a lot to say other than thankyou to everyone for there support and encouragement.

Marias loss will not hinder Gods hand and the movement of the holy spirit.

In fact Through this tradgedy God has shown himself to me and my family more clearly than ever.

I wrote to tell everyone to spread the word about Maria and tell about the amazing gift she was.

Maria was given to us so that Christ may be known more than ever before.

Never forget Maria and never forget Why she was put on earth for these joyful five years.

thankyou

caleb

Its so amazing to see a family like yours stand so strong in your faith when something like this happens. It is truly awesome and encouraging to see you draw closer to God when there doesnt seem to be an answer or reason. Keep that in your heart, that God will continue to show Himself to you and continue to shower you with His love and peace. And know that you have a huge family here in California behind you guys with prayers.

It's strange how you become a fan and feel like you 'know' someone thru their music. When a tragedy like this happens you realize how much you are actually distanced from that person. I've wanted so badly over the past week to 'check up' on your family...but found myself at the mercy of 'myspace' updates. My prayer has been that your family would feel the peace so many have been praying over you and your family....peace that surpases all understanding. No words of ours could bring you comfort at this time, so know that my family will continue to pray for yours. You have all been such an amazing inspiration to us over the years, this is the least we can do for you........ And we will never forget Maria.

We would never claim to understand what you and your family are going through, but all of you will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers as you grieve and heal. The love and the grace of God defy explanation, and He will pull all of you through.

My family is praying for you. I'm an adoptive mom of five kids and know what a true miracle adoption is. Although we didn't know Maria personally, I can assure you that we will never forget her. And please know that we are and will continue to lift up prayers for all of you. So sorry for your heartbreaking loss -- but also so encouraged by your amazing faith in our Creator. We will continue to lift you all up.

Caleb,

I believe every life on this earth has a purpose, even a short life. So many people probably think, "She was only five years old.. She didn't even have a chance to minister." How can someone say that when they see the thousands and thousands of people that have come to know Christ because of Maria Sue.. Her five years of life and her horrible untimely death have brought the love of Christ to so many. HE knew exactly why Maria was on this Earth. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope you find comfort in knowing how many lives Maria has touched. Even years from now her legacy will continue to touch lives of many.. Especially yours and your family's. Still praying for you all!

With Love,
Kaity..

I didn't really ever know much about your family,
but when I heard of your loss,
I was just completely torn.
I have prayed that our Almighty Father
will keep you and your family
safe and keep His Hand over all of you.

God bless you,
Michelle

Man, when I heard in Rebecca's newsletter what happened I just about cried. I'd just listened to "What Now" that night going to bed and remember her picture from the Christmas CD, and then "Cinderella" being about her and your sisters.
I'm so sorry and have been praying a lot for you and your family. I and many people are here for you and your family in this...horrific time. Too many of my friends and people I've known have lost family members these last couple years... It's awesome God's already showing you and your family the good that comes from the bad.

Hey Caleb, I continue to pray for you and your family. I will never forget Maria, this story hasn't left my mind since I found out. " Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and lean not into your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him,and he will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5,6
Love in Christ,

Caleb - Thank you for taking the time to come on and blog! This has been a time when 'us fans' can give back to a family who have given so much to each one of us in a way that has been individual and unique throughout the years and generations. Given the chance everyone of us would have probably decended on you with a pile on and group hug (and casseroles galore!!) to show how much we care and to take any pain and grief away, however all we can do is pray - to hold you up to our God, our Father who listens and answers. I say it is all we can do but we all know it is the best thing we can do as who knows what you and your family need right now better than 'Abba Father'. I'm excited...that through this tragedy you have seen God in a clear way, I'm excited because you grow strong and determined for Him. I want to see God triumph in these circumstances. I understand that Maria will be missed and never forgotten and we will never belittle that - we are here for you - now and in the future! Stand strong might warriors!! God Bless You!! x

I have been praying since I found out...and will continue praying. Have a pic of you and your family as my computer backround to remind me to pray for you every time I look at it. the one thing I have really learned lately is that a lot of the time something good happens for you out of the bad. maybe so many people will come Jesus through hearing her story.

What can I say? You and your family have endured so much recently. But I know you are getting through this. That's what God's Grace is all about. I know one thing for sure, the Lord has opened the eyes of many about orphans in China and elsewhere. People that may have never said a prayer for the orphanges are now praying and wanting to support this great cause that your family has worked and prayed so hard for. I imagine there will be many families wanting to adopt little children to give them good homes, probably more than you've ever dreamed of.
I can certainly tell by photos and quotes from your family that Maria Sue was so very special and a breath of fresh air every where she went.
All I can think of is seeing that little girl dancing.......yes Jesus is dancing with Cinderella..Maria Sue!!!!

blessings.....Sheila

I am so sorry for your loss. I sorta know how you feel, I lost 6 siblings before they were born (I am the oldest). But at the same time, I have no idea how you feel. I lost my siblings before I got to know them. But through those times me and my step dad, my mom, my 3 sisters, and my brother are all so much closer then we ever were before. And God is/was with us through all the times. Good and bad.
You and your family are in my prayers. I never had the chance to meet Maria, but I will never forget her.

I learned about the tragedy not many hours after it had happened. I was overwhelmed. I have wanted to post some kind of comment like I'm doing now, but what words are there? I've been listening to your father's music since I was 13 (1988). I don't know anybody in your family personally, but over the years your father's music has meant a lot to me spiritually. And I have cheered you and your brother on in my heart and sometimes even in my prayers concerning The Following. And I have enjoyed watching your little sisters grow in the pictures. There are no words to say regarding this loss. But I have prayed for your family in this for your strength. I just know that your sister is deliriously happy right now. And that God holds your heart and is with you, just as your blogs says so courageously. God's blessings and peace and joy be upon you and your family.

Caleb, I did not even know Maria and I have thought about her and your family more than ever this past week and a half. I wish I had the some nice words to comfort you and your family during this terrible time, but I'm afraid I have none. But I know that God is wrapping his loving arms around you all and I take comfort in your unshakeable faith in a time like this. I will continue to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. I will also remember Maria's life and the joy she lived for.

Thank you for you and your family for sharing your joys and sorrows with us. You may never know just how many people you and your family and Maria Sue have touched through this loss, but know each of us who have been following have been touched and will never be the same.

As a father of 3 adopted children the youngest only 4 from China my heart has been touched so much and through your family and the music you and your father have given us I am realizing just how important it is to live in the moment and to stop leaving it to others and step out and advocate adoption.

Thank you, may God Bless and give you all peace and restore Joy!!!

ive been praying for you guys. alot. and i know this will only push the chapman family forward in helping others to know Christ and of his love and mercy.
it breaks my heart to hear of her passing. Dont give up, and continue to move forward. its often hard not to to take steps backwards in our walk when things like this occur. but its also these events that give us that push we need to continue to sprint towards our God.
continue to make your beautiful music, it encourages me and many others. To be honest i havent listened to a whole lot of your dads music. just what i hear on K-Love. but after buying "loves completed" there hasnt been a day when i havent had to listen to at least one song. It inspires me and encourages me to dive into Gods word. and to continue to make music for him. All i want to do is use my music, and all my God given abilities to bring others closer to him. and when i see people like you, and other worship pastors/ leaders be tools for God. and see you guys being used for his glory. It reminds me of collossians 3:6
"whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.
and that encourages me soooo much. Im gonna continue to move forward. Im gonna bring people closer to God and his glory. and im gonna be an example.
I pray that through this Tragedy and through this trying time. that you would not forget it yourself. and continue to bring others like me closer to God through your music and actions.
God Bless,
-Timmy !!

I watched your family on Larry King Live on youtube (I lost track of time last night and missed it) and I was close to tears watching you. Your family has been through so much, but you are all so strong and have grown together throughout this terrible ordeal. It was moving to see your strength, faith and love as a family. May God be with you, your family, and especially little Maria forever.

Take care.
