Northside Beat Bears September 11, 2008
....Northside cruised to a 52-14 victory over Camp Creek.
....D.J. Triplett led Northside, rushing for 81 yards and notching 50 yards receiving, recording three touchdowns.
....Mason Early (21) had 55 yards rushing and 55 yards receiving, scoring two touchdowns along the way.
....Tanner O'Laughlin had 105 yards rushing and threw two touchdown passes.
....Zachary Dalton, Brett Bolton and Evan Fillers scored one touchdown each. Tyler Bailey had two extra kicks.
....On defense, Jesse Brandon had nine tackles for Northside, and Ethan Dotson made seven stops.
....For Camp Creek, the Bears were held to only 105 yds. offense with Brett Norton, Caleb Reaves, Cody Brobeck and Tyler Locke sharing the yards. Reaves and Norton each had a rushing touchdown.
....Locke and Norton led the Bears on defense.

........Northside Handles Mosheim
....The Northside Chargers continued their winning ways with a 34-13 victory over Mosheim Middle School Thursday night at the North Greene High field.
....Mason Early (21) had 178 yds. rushing and D.J. Triplett contributed 57 yds. to the Northside ground attack.
....Tanner O'Laughlin passed for 80 yds., all to Mason Early.
....Early finished with three touchdowns on the night while Triplett and Ethan Dotson each had one touchdown. Tyler Bailey had two extra point kicks.
....David Triantas had 10 tackles and Triplett and Early each had eight tackles for the winning Chargers.

Northside Downs DeBusk
....Northside captured a 34-7 win over the DeBusk Braves Thursday night at the North Greene High School field.
....D.J. Triplett had 74 yds. rushing, while Zack Dalton managed 44 yds., and Evan Fillers and Brett Bolton each contributed 29 yds. on the ground. Triplett scored two touchdowns for Northside, while Ethan Dotson and Zack Dalton each scored once. Tyler Bailey had four extra point kicks and the defense registered a safety.
....Brett Bolton led the defense with eight tackles, while Casey Blansett had five tackles. Tyler Bailey and Phillip Coville each had a pass interception.
....Dallas Malone got the DeBusk touchdown on a 20-yd. pass reception. Ryan Hale had 24 yds. rushing, a fumble recovery and four tackles for the Braves, while Matthew Nicodemus had 34 yds. on the ground and hit 5-of-12 passes for 43 yds. and a touchdown. Daniel Lowery caught two passes and made three tackles.
....Jonathan Zavaleta had six solo tackles for DeBusk and added 20 yds in returns, while Manny Alcantara provided four tackles.
Northside Blanks McDonald
....Northside captured a 24-0 win over McDonald Thursday night at the West Greene field.
....Mason Early had 80 yds. rushing and scored two touchdowns for the winners. D.J. Triplett had 42 yds., Zach Dalton had 32 yds., and Ethan Dotson had 12 yds. and a touchdown.
....Tanner O'Laughin threw for 58 yds. and a score. Mason Early had 42 yds. and Skyler Melton 12 yds. receiving, while Tyler Bailey caught one touchdown pass.
....David Triantas and Dakota Laughlin each had seven tackles for Northside, while D.J. Triplett had a pass interception.
Northside Tops Glenwood
....Northside posted a 38-6 win over the Glenwood Chiefs Thursday at West Greene.
....Tanner O'Laughlin had 56 yds. rushing and a touchdown for Northside, while Mason Early added 20 yds. on the ground and a score. D.J. Triplett and Zane Britton each had 30 yds. rushing and a score.
....Skyler Melton scored on a touchdown with a 70-yd. kickoff return. Tyler Bailey made four extra point kicks for Northside.
....On defense, Brett Bolton led the way with 16 tackles while Thomas Davis added 11 hits. Mason Early and Skyler Melton each recovered a fumble.
Northside Claims Another Elementary Championship
Northside wrapped up its second straight Greene County Elementary football championship with its second straight undefeated season on Thursday night with a 44-6 victory over Nolachuckey.........Northside Claims Crown
....Northside, who finished the year 6-0, was led by Mason Early with 119 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Early also had a receiving touchdown and posted six tackles on defense.
....D.J. Triplett rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Tanner Collins had 35 yards and a touchdown, and Brett Bolton had 38 yards and a touchdown.
....Tanner O'Laughlin threw two touchdown passes -- one to Skyler Melton, the other to Early. Tyler Bailey kicked a two-point conversion.
....Northside led 20-0 at halftime.
Leading the defense was Dakota Melton with nine tackles. David Triantas and Thomas Davis had six each. Casey Blansett recovered a fumble.
....Northside coach Tim Bailey thanked everyone involved in the championship-winning season.
...."I want to thank all the parents," Bailey said. "I know its been a big inconvenience with gas $4 a gallon. They got our boys to practice without any complaints. I really appreciate them. I also want to thank our assistant coaches Mark Britton, Tim Kirk, Terry Gardner and Steve Hall for all their help."
....Bo Woods, Codie Coleman, Dakota Truslow and Hunter Shelley were defensive standouts for Nolachuckey. The Blazer offensive highlight was a touchdown pass from Woods to Hunter Shelley. The conversion run was stopped short by the Northside defenders.
....Coach Eugene Broyles expressed thanks to Coach Mike Garner and team managers Maci Brown, Cyerra Davis, Whitney Wilhoit, Javan Wilhoit and Maelyn Cutshaw.
...."Please pass along my thanks to all the dedicated rescue squad folks that staff our games and provide emergency treatment during games," Broyles said.
